Han Wang positions himself as a product-obsessed founder-engineer who balances high-level AI vision with a relentless commitment to technical craft. His content strategy centers on the shifting landscape of technical knowledge, moving from human-centric documentation to building the infrastructure for an agent-led internet. He is notable for his "un-glamorous" approach to scaling, frequently advocating for founders to stay in the code and embrace the "pain cave" of early-stage friction rather than delegating too soon. This creates a compelling intersection between high-growth SaaS leadership and a "boots on the ground" philosophy, where he treats documentation not just as content, but as the critical data layer for the next generation of software.

The single most effective thing I've ever seen close a deal isn't a deck, a demo, or a follow-up email. It's getting on a plane. It's the biggest piece of feedback I give founders learning to sell,…

We recently eliminated seat-based pricing at Mintlify. A lot of people asked me why. I don't think seat-based pricing has much of a future. The consumers of software are increasingly going to be age…

This weekend, tech Twitter got into it over "grindmaxxing": the trend of founders posting about how many hours they're working or how little sleep they're getting. A bunch of people asked where I lan…

We spent three months building a feature that nobody asked for.
At the time, our roadmap was packed with integrations and API improvements. But every time I used the product, I felt a slight friction in how we handled image uploads. It wasn't a bug. It wasn't even a missing feature. It was just... clunky.
I decided we were going to fix it.
The team was hesitant. We had customers waiting for the GitHub integration, and here I was asking for two weeks of engineering time to polish a flow that technically already worked.
We did it anyway. We stayed late, obsessed over the drag-and-drop physics, and made the transition feel like water.
When we shipped it, we didn't even put it in the changelog.
Within forty-eight hours, our support tickets regarding 'upload errors'—which were actually just user confusion—dropped to zero. More importantly, our power users started mentioning the 'feel' of the app in private Slack channels.
There is a specific kind of debt that doesn't show up in Jira. It's 'taste debt.'
You can't measure it with a sprint velocity chart, and you can't fix it by delegating to a committee. You fix it by being the person who uses the product enough to be annoyed by it.
If you aren't embarrassed by the friction in your own product, you aren't using it enough.
Quality is the only moat that doesn't evaporate.
