A bit of a 'wee' milestone for us this week as we welcome our newest cohort of graduates to the team. 💙
I remember my own first week in a big organization—the mix of excitement and that slight 'what have I let myself in for?' feeling. It’s a big transition, especially when you're tasked with helping to manage something as vital as Scotland's water infrastructure. But seeing the energy and fresh perspectives they bring to the office is a stark reminder of why we do what we do.
We’re not just building pipes and reservoirs; we’re future-proofing the country for the next generation. And in an increasingly unpredictable world, providing that kind of stability and purpose for young talent is something I’m incredibly proud of.
(NB - If you missed out on this round, don't worry. We'll be opening applications for our summer intern program early next year. Keep an eye on the Scottish Water careers page for updates!)
To our new starts: welcome aboard. You’re joining a smashing team of people who genuinely care about the work they do. Hang in there through the induction paperwork—it gets much more exciting from here! 🚰

A personal grumble: I keep seeing paid-for posts appearing in my LinkedIn feed from right-wing US commentators championing ICE's conduct and President Trump's agenda. They look like a regular post fro…
I was moving house last week during all our Apprentice related hoopla. So I'm a bit late in giving this a wee boost. Big thanks to Fraser Gillespie, Sarah Lawson & Karensa McCall (and everyone else wh…
This closes next week if you fancy joining the Scottish Water Board for 4 years as a Non-Executive Director, providing oversight and governance of our essential work managing Scotland's water and wast…
