Reflecting on a whirlwind week at the Riyadh Fintech Expo.
While most people see the polished booths and the handshakes, the reality is a bit more chaotic behind the scenes.
Between back-to-back meetings and trying to find a decent cup of coffee, I had a moment of clarity. We aren't just building a platform; we're building a new way for institutions to trust data.
It reminded me of my early days in London - the same buzz, the same 'what if' energy.
I had the chance to catch up with some old friends and finally meet a few 'LinkedIn-only' connections in person. The fintech community in KSA is moving at a speed that is frankly terrifying and exhilarating at the same time.
We even managed to squeeze in a quick demo for a potential partner on the back of a napkin. (Yes, the napkin strategy still works in 2024! 🤣)
The highlight? Seeing the Banktopus vision resonate with people who have been in this industry for decades. It makes the sleepless nights and the endless iterations feel worth it.
