Redefining how businesses position and grow in the AI era | B2B Positioning Expert | Founder of V2RSION
1 person tracking this creator on Viral Brain
Paul Evans positions himself as a seasoned B2B positioning expert and the founder of V2RSION, blending decades of commercial experience with a forward-looking mastery of the AI era. His content strategy centers on Positioning Engineering, where he deconstructs complex marketing debates- such as the tension between brand and performance- into actionable frameworks for sustainable growth. He is notable for his "anti-hustle" maturity, often advocating for closing mental loops and simplifying tech stacks rather than chasing infinite scale. By creating a unique intersection of strategic marketing rigour and personal philosophy, Evans provides a high-level briefing that feels both technically sharp and humanly grounded.

Writing style breakdown
Professional, thoughtful, and reflective with a polished LinkedIn-appropriate tone.
Conversational but not overly casual; it feels like a senior operator talking to peers.
Strongly informative and practical, with a subtle motivational undercurrent.
Persuasive without being pushy; arguments are grounded in logic and evidence, not hype.
Stylistically clean and minimal; avoids overly flowery language or dramatic exaggeration.
Mid-formal: uses correct grammar and structured thinking, but with direct speech patterns (“you”, “I”, contractions).
Energy level: steady, calm, and grounded. Not high-octane or hyper; more “calm authority” than “hype coach.”
Emotional tone: empathetic and human (references to family, rest, aging, gratitude) but restrained; no oversharing or melodrama.
You don’t need X. You need Y.
Everyone’s focused on… But I see things differently.
Regular use of short, stand-alone lines that function as beats or “punch-ins” for emphasis.
What’s on your list before we close out the year?
Where do you land on this?
Frequent conceptual framing: “At its core…”, “To put it simply…”, “Here’s what this really means…”
Because you can’t shape behaviour if you don’t understand it.
That’s where even just the simplest ‘Thank you’ comes in.
Use of simple, clear metaphors (straight lines vs loops; systems; foundations) but sparingly.
Heavy use of second person “you” for direct engagement and advice.
I’ve used many different tools…
As I’m building V2RSION…
Most of what we achieve has been touched by other people.
Mix of direct commands (“Start small. Pick one of these.”) and softer invitations (“It’s worth remembering this.” / “Consider…” implied more than said).
Questions are typically open-ended and reflective, not yes/no.
Feels like a seasoned strategist/mentor with a human, reflective side.
Balances credibility (references to McKinsey, Cialdini, AI tools) with relatability (Christmas, family, age, feeling drained).
Never condescending; assumes the reader is smart but busy and overwhelmed, so content is structured for clarity and ease.
