The "AI Agent" hype cycle just hit the wall of reality, and most founders are going to hate what comes next.

We spent all of 2024 hearing that agents would replace every employee. That you could just "prompt" your way to a $100M company.

It was a lie. Or at least, a very expensive half-truth.

At Swan AI, we just hit 7-figure ARR with 6 people. But it wasn't because we found a "magic agent" that does everything. It's because we realized that the agent isn't the moat.. the infrastructure you build AROUND the agent is.

An agent without context is just a fast way to generate high-quality garbage.

We spent $80k testing "autonomous" SDRs. Result? 0 deals.

We spent 3 weeks building a custom "context harness" for a human-in-the-loop system. Result? $250k in new pipeline in 14 days.

The lesson is simple but painful..

You don't need more AI. You need better wiring.

If you're still trying to "prompt" your way to growth, you're playing a 2023 game in a 2025 market. The winners aren't the ones with the best models. They're the ones who know how to route the right task to the right model at the right price.

That's the bet we're making.
