<start of post> I just built an AI agent that monitors my competitors' pricing and updates my own Shopify store in real-time.
Most people are still manually checking websites and typing into spreadsheets.
That's a waste of time.
The difference between a "side project" and a "business" is automation.
Step 1: Use Browse AI to monitor specific product pages for any price changes.
Step 2: Send that data to an n8n webhook the second a change is detected.
Step 3: Use Claude 3.5 Sonnet to calculate the optimal price based on my margins.
Step 4: Update the Shopify API with the new price automatically.
The whole thing took 15 minutes to set up.
What you don't see is the logic required to make sure you don't accidentally trigger a "race to the bottom" price war.
I added a "safety floor" node that prevents the price from ever dropping below my break-even point.
