Maya Lekhi positions herself as a high-velocity engineer and community catalyst who thrives at the intersection of technical infrastructure and the "build in public" ethos. Her content strategy centers on the transition from traditional academic prestige to high-impact industry roles, using her departure from a top business school to intern at Notion and Vercel as a powerful narrative for prioritizing technical depth over institutional signaling. She is notable for her commitment to the "love of the game," bridging the gap between elite AI infrastructure work and grassroots builder culture through hackathons and local demo nights. This unique blend of institutional transparency and community advocacy allows her to serve as a credible mentor for early-career developers seeking non-traditional paths into top-tier tech companies.

I used to think that the only way to build something meaningful was to wait for the perfect idea. I was wrong.
For a long time, I sat on the sidelines, watching others launch projects while I polished my 'perfect' plan. I was terrified of putting something out there that wasn't ready. I felt like my reputation was tied to the first version of everything I touched.
What I realized after joining a few hackathons is that the 'perfect idea' is a myth. The magic happens in the iteration. It happens when you're tired at 2 AM and you finally figure out why the API isn't responding. It happens in the messy, half-finished prototypes that eventually turn into something you're proud of.
If you've been waiting for a sign to start that side project, this is it. Don't worry about the traction or the polish yet. Just build for the pure love of the game.
I'm hosting a small builder meetup this Friday in London (Ontario). If you're working on something cool—or even something weird—come hang out.
Friday, 6 PM at the usual spot. You're invited :)
